Alright, so I am working on writing a short, very short that is, film currently entitled "Window of Opportunity" staring Evan Glass. The short film will determine our forward progress in production and where we are going to go. It is important that when this film comes out, if you have any ideas, comments, questions or concerns, you voice them because they will shape the future of Madtast Productions. Filming in, Unofficially scheduled to start on April 18th 2010, on that date we should have pictures posted, and two weeks from that date we should have the film freely available here and on youtube. This is the Shellmek Concept Gun that I drew up in about 30min. It is a dual barrel, side by side that is, piston action gun. It can either shoot two shots at a time (single fire) or one shot a time (automatic) alternating barrel. The barrels of this gun are made of Tin and the trigger activates the piston for automatic fire, which is possible because when the guns pistons fire, it hits a bullet, and the bullets force pushes that piston back and causes the other piston the fire, shooting the bullet in the other barrel, this process continues until the pistons compression is let out by letting go of the trigger. By pulling the tab in the back up, two bullets will load and hitting the trigger will shoot both of them at the same time. I thought the idea to be quite creative and somewhat simple, it is automatic and single fire based on the simple principles of a piston. Not all the internal workings have been fully figured out yet, however; I am in the process of determining if the piston should use air compression or spring loaded action.
As you probably know, OuterShell is a new 'project', where we are attempting to create video clips or rather online 'webshows' that are somewhat based around the Sci-Fi, Fantasy genre. This gun is an Air-Soft gun, a replica of the Beretta Hand Gun. We currently have two of these ready for action, however; we do have a third as backup. These props where very cheap and are intended to be used in some of our upcoming film shoots.
